The Biggest Career Myth: Your Career Path Will Be Straight
Career myths are all around us, but knowing how to uncover the truth behind the myth is an important first step towards your desired career path. Attend this workshop to learn the essential skills for breaking myths such as: “Your career path is straight, especially if you are studying Accounting, Engineering, or Marketing.”; “Stay away from Arts and Science programs – you’ll have a very hard time finding a career path.”; If you don’t know what you’re doing by the time you’re in your last years of studies, you’ll never be successful.”

The way you sit while you are waiting to be called into the interview room, the general conversation before the formal questions, and whether you follow up after the interview to thank them for their time, are all contributing factors towards the impression that you give to the potential employer. In this workshop you will have an opportunity to practice answering some of the most frequently asked questions and learn why it’s a good idea to hike the Grouse Grind before your interview.
