Q. What day is CUSP?
A. Tuesday, September 5, 2017.
Q. Is there anything happening at Cap on Monday, September 4, 2017?
A. No. It’s Labour Day, a public holiday.
Q. What about classes? When do they start?
A. Any classes after 5:30 p.m. will be in session but the rest of the day’s classes are cancelled for Orientation and CUSP. Keep an eye out for emails from your professors just in case!
Otherwise, classes will begin regularly on Wednesday, September 6th.
Q. What time does CUSP start and when is it over?
A. 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Q. Will parking be free at CUSP?
A. Yes. You can find other information on parking
Q. Do I need to bring food or money?
A. As part of CUSP, there will be multiple food trucks for you to choose from so you are likely to find something you can eat amongst them. The menu items for the food trucks range between $5-$15 depending on what you’re craving.
If you have any dietary concerns or allergies, feel free to ask at the individual food trucks. There will be at least one organic, gluten free truck.
Q. Do I need money for anything else?
A. Yes, bring cash to donate to the CSU food bank and you then get to try to dunk a professor! You should also bring cash or debit/credit card if you plan to buy textbooks, get your parking pass for the month/term, or pay fees.
Q. What else should I bring?
A. We ask that you keep it light. Wear weather-appropriate clothing and sunscreen if need. Reusable water bottles are a plus. There will be no coat check or bag drop and volunteers will not be responsible for looking at your belongings.
Q. Can I bring my dog?
A. We ask that you leave you pets at home. CUSP will be a busy and crowded day and your pets will be more comfortable at home.
