Second-year CapU student has film at Cannes

The work of second-year School of Motion Picture Arts student Malibu Taetz will be showcased in the Short Film Corner at the Cannes Film Festival, May 17 to 28, 2017.
This is a breakthrough opportunity for Taetz. Cannes Film Festival’s Short Film Corner is an opportunity to showcase the work of up-and-coming filmmakers to an international audience.
Accidental, written and directed by Taetz at the end of his first year at Capilano University, is a 14-minute film. A lowly French horn player has to traverse a jungle of violin bows and sliding trombones to return a music folder to the opposite side of a stage and the cello player he is enamored with, all without the imperious conductor seeing him.
