New CapU branding honoured with two UCDA awards

On July 31, 2017 the University & College Designers Association (UCDA) announced the recipients of its 2017 awards program. Among the honourees? Capilano University in two categories: Integrated Campaign and Innovative Strategy.
CapU received an Integrated Campaign Award of Excellence for its 2017 advertising campaign, which launched the new brand across the Lower Mainland in a variety of stand-out locations including billboards, transit shelters, bus backs and on social media earlier this year.
Of the nearly 1,300 entries, only 204 received awards and CapU's overall brand strategy was the sole Award of Excellence recipient in the category of Innovative Strategy.
"We're deeply honoured by this recognition from the UCDA," says Paul Dangerfield, president of Capilano University. "This prestigious competition is recognized internationally for its high standards and commitment to celebrating exceptional design in post-secondary marketing and communications. We consider ourselves, and our friends at ION Brand Design, fortunate to be in such good company."
Winning entries will be showcased as part of the UCDA Design Show on display during the 47th annual UCDA Design Conference in Baltimore, Maryland this coming October.
