      Tuition Fees and Funding

      • Tuition Fees for International Students

        Academic Programs, including EAP 090, 100 and 101 $572 per credit
        English for Academic Purposes (EAP) 050-080 $464 per credit

      • Funding Options

        International students may be eligible to apply for Capilano University University administered internal scholarships and some internal awards.   Capilano scholarship, bursary and award applications are available on-line at the beginning of the Fall and Spring semesters.  Please check the Financial Aid and Awards website for most up to date information for funding available to International Students.

      • Maple Leaf Education Systems (MLES) Entrance Award

        The Centre for International Experience (CIE) at Capilano University created this entrance award to recognize students from Maple Leaf Education Systems (MLES) schools and support their Capilano University studies. This entrance award is valued $1500.00.

        Eligibility Criteria

        • International student, not represented by an agent, graduating from a Maple Leaf Education Systems (MLES) school
        • Application to a Capilano University program, including English as an Additional Language (EAL) programs and EAL pathway programs
        • Demonstrated leadership skills, community engagement and/or volunteer activities
        • Minimum entrance award eligibility criteria as established by Capilano University, unless otherwise stated above, including a minimum 70% admission GPA and enrolment in a minimum of 9 credits at Capilano University in the Fall term (capilanou.ca\awards).

        Application Requirements

        Type an essay (approximately 500 words) on one of the following topics:

         “Discuss a challenge you have experienced and how you used your leadership skills to overcome it.”  OR

         “Describe your volunteer experience and its significance to you and your community.” OR

         “What involvement have you had in your school or community, and how do you plan to engage at Capilano University?”

        CIE International Student Award

        The Centre for International Experience (CIE) established this award to recognize international students and support them in their Capilano University studies.

        Selection Criteria

        1. International student
        2. Enrollment in a post-secondary program at Capilano University or Open to students enrolled in an English as an Additional Language (EAL) programs program and or EAL pathway programs
        3. Demonstrated leadership skills, community engagement and/or volunteer activities
        4. Meets minimum award eligibility criteria, as established by the University, unless otherwise stated above.

        CIE International Student Scholarship

        The Centre for International Experience (CIE) established this scholarship to recognize the academic achievements of international students and support them in their Capilano University studies.

        The Centre for International Experience (CIE) at Capilano University established this entrance award to recognize students from Canadian curriculum offshore schools and support them in their Capilano University studies.

        Selection Criteria

        1. International student, not represented by an agent, graduating from a Canadian curriculum offshore school
        2. Application to a Capilano University program, including English as an Additional Language (EAL) programs and EAL pathway programs
        3. Demonstrated leadership skills, community engagement and/or volunteer activities
        4. Minimum entrance award eligibility criteria, as established by Capilano University, unless otherwise stated above.
