After a close loss in the semis of the PACWEST Championships, the Capilano University men's soccer team found their offensive stride in Sunday's consolation final to defeat the Vancouver Island University Mariners 5-1 and finish their season with a bronze medal.

In his final game with Capilano, fifth-year Nicolas Morello finished his career in style with four goals in the match. Playing up front, the North Shore native finished off a cross in the fourth minute to give the Blues the lead, then added another midway through the frame. VIU cut the lead to one on a goal by Peter Cooper, but Morello answered back to complete the hat trick on a great individual effort.

CapU made it 4-1 midway through the second half on Morellos fourth of the game from right in front of the net, and Andreas Alves added one more right before the end of regulation to make it a 5-1 final.

The Blues earn the bronze medal, giving them a medal at the PACWEST Championship for the third-straight year.
