Bachelor of Business Administration Degree

  • The Bachelor of Business Administration Degree (BBA) is a four-year program that offers both practical management education and a breadth of complementary academic subjects. The first two years will build a strong foundation in business knowledge. After that, you can continue with the comprehensive general business degree or develop an in-depth expertise by choosing one of the following concentrations: Accounting, Financial Planning. Human Resources Management, International Business and Logistics, or Marketing.

    Capilano University's School of Business stresses a balanced combination of classroom learning and hands-on business education. Our instructors bring practical, up-to-date business knowledge to the classroom, sharing the expertise that has made them successful in the business community. Small class sizes allow faculty members to maintain direct contact with their students. 

    We continually review and update our programs according to market needs so that our graduates have the skills employers demand. This gives our graduates an edge in today's highly competitive job market, and the expertise necessary to succeed in the workplace of the future.

    Career Opportunities 
    Graduates will be prepared to function effectively in complex organizations, small to medium enterprises, or the public sector.  Jobs include:

    • Accounting and Financial Planning – CFO, Controller, Financial Planner, Cost Accountant, Tax Consultant, Auditor
    • General Management – Business Strategy Consultant, CEO, Manager
    • Human Resources – HR Manager or Director, Compensation, Recruitment or Labour Relations Specialist
    • International Business & Logistics – Export/Import Manager, International Trader, Marketer or Product Manager
    • Marketing – E-Commerce Manager, Brand Manager, Key Account Manager, Director of Sales & Marketing

    Program Planning 
    The BBA requires 120 credits (40 courses) and includes specific required courses combined with business and non-business course electives.
