Here are what some of the Cap U students and alumni who have used this service have to say:
ECCE Student, June 2017
I visited the Career Development Centre to receive effective advice for my resume and cover letter as well as preparing for a job interview. Asel Temirova, Career Development Advisor, helped me to increase my confidence, which was the most important factor of success for my job interview through practicing varied interview skills and actual situations in the interview. Also, the manager, Nancy participated in the mock interview so the atmosphere of the practice became a more real situation. Throughout the entire process, I gained additional guidance and confidence for my job interview. With the Career Development Centre’s helpful and thoughtful support, I got a job at Capilano Children’s Centre where I really hoped to work and I'm happy to work with the beautiful children and knowledgeable educators in there! Thank you again for all the support!
School of Business Alumnus, graduated with a BBA in 2014
The Career Development Centre at Capilano University has been a great help in my job search. During my last years as a student, they helped me fine-tune my resume and cover letter, and helped with my confidence in interviews. After I graduated, Nancy still remembered me and recommended me for a position at CapU, which I am still at now! The Career Development Centre is one of the valuable tools we are given as CapU students. The team is helpful, supportive and encouraging, I highly recommend reaching out to them before you start your job search.
Engineering Program Student, May 2016
I am very grateful to know there is such a supportive and kind advisor at Capilano University, I have no doubt other Capilano student will find their burden lifted over job searches and applications if they look for career advisor’s help. I think this is what makes Capilano University stands out and be special over the rest of the universities in Lower Mainland. Please accept my sincere appreciation for the excellent job she had done.

Thank you very much for your time to review my resume and cover letter again. With every step you helped me, I feel more confident to be ready for any accounting job. Thanks for your help again.

Thank you so much for spending some time to help me work on my resume and cover letter. The information you provided was very helpful, and for that I'm grateful.

Thank you for all your help with my job search. Your input vastly improved my resume and I think it had a big part in getting me the interviews I needed (four companies interviewed me, and two offered me positions).
