Thank you to all students and student supporters who attended the fall 2017 Advising Course Planning Workshops!  We look forward to welcoming you on campus in September, and we are here all summer to help you with any questions you may have as you transition into your first year at Capilano University.

We will be holding our spring 2018 workshops in the fall so please keep checking this page for a series of workshop dates and times.  Once these dates have been finalized, you will be able to call the Registrar's Office at 604-984-4900 to reserve a seat.

Course planning workshops are group advising sessions for newly admitted students planning to register in a variety of Capilano University programs including Arts, Sciences, Fine and Performing Arts, Health and Education, Business, Tourism, and Communications.  These sessions will provide important information about using the registration system, choosing classes, and accessing services available to students.

      Booking Advising Appointments

If you would like to book an advising appointment, we have academic advisors available Monday through Friday, with appointments ranging from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  Advising appointments last approximately 30 minutes.  To book an appointment, please call our main reception at 604-984-4900.  If you would prefer a telephone appointment to an in-person appointment, please notify our office.  You will be asked to provide a current contact telephone number and the advisor will telephone you at the appointed time and date.

Please note: Only current Capilano University students, or students that have applied to Capilano University, can book 30 minute appointments.

      Quick Answer Advising

Current students and/or applicants may also visit the reception area of the Advising Centre to arrange a same day drop-in appointment.  Drop-in appointments are filled on a first come, first serve basis and are approximately 30 minutes in length.  Drop-in appointments are in person only. During peak periods, these drop in appointments fill quickly so students are advised to come to our office as early as possible to reserve a space.
