This 30 credit program most benefits elementary school teachers who already have a Bachelor Degree in Education, and who are interested in working with inquiry based learning and emergent curriculum and would like a deeper understanding of the pedagogical approaches that are shaping early childhood care and education.
Students are offered face-to-face, mixed mode, on-line and summer intensive courses. Students may take up to 15 credits in the fall and spring terms. Summer courses are only offered on a part-time basis.
Completion of this program enables graduates to apply to the Teacher Qualification Service for recognition of their new credentials. This program does not qualify students for a Basic ECE license to practice.
