Applied Behaviour Analysis (Autism) Post Baccalaureate Certificate

  • The Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Applied Behaviour Analysis - Autism is the first program of its kind in Western Canada. It is specifically designed for students with existing Bachelor’s degrees who only need the verified course sequence required to become a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA). Certificate students must independently obtain their own supervised fieldwork (e.g., through their existing paid employment), in order to meet the experiential requirements for BCaBA exam eligibility. The post-baccalaureate certificate provides the required course work to qualify for the examination to become a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA). This professional credential is in high demand internationally for clinicians who work with children, youth, and adults on the autism spectrum and related developmental disabilities. Additionally, students may use the post-baccalaureate certificate program as a stepping stone to graduate studies.

    Please note:

    • This program is available entirely online.
    • Completion of at least 300 hours of ABA therapy work experience (preferably BCBA supervised), prior to entering the program, is recommended. However, meeting the experiential requirements for BCaBA exam eligibility is the sole responsibility of the student.
