Education and Employment Access program Are you facing barriers to academic or career success?
Capilano University’s new Education and
Employment Access program can help. Designed to help individuals with
learning disabilities or physical or mental health challenges, the program uses
assessment, classroom work and individualized support to help students explore
career and education options, set goals and create a specific plan to achieve
them. Classes emphasize skills such practical communication, personal
management and student success strategies. Participants develop resumé writing
and interviewing skills, along with a professional portfolio. Work experience
is gained through a work practicum in the spring term. The eight-month program
starts in September 2015.
