Thank You Matters

    • Capilano University appreciates the generosity of donors who make Capilano University a priority in their philanthropy. Award donors give generously because they believe in the importance of education and want to help students pursue their dreams. 

      Please express your gratitude to the donor(s) of your award by writing a thank you letter. A well-written letter reflects favourably on you and is important to the donors, who appreciate learning about you, your goals, and future plans.  If you are the recipient of multiple awards, please write an individual letter for each award you have received.   

      You may use the Letter of Thank You Template to assist you in drafting your thank you letter; however, you are not required to adhere to this format if you would like more flexibility to express your creativity!  You can address your letter to the attention of Financial Aid and Awards, who will ensure that it is directed to the donor(s) of your award.

      Your letter should be submitted within three (3) weeks of receiving notification of your award, and can be emailed to finaid@capilanou.ca or handed in at BR 230.
