    The Musical Theatre program is a three-year career preparation course for those students who are serious about pursuing a career in the performing arts. This program is the only one of its kind on the West Coast, and will provide a thorough grounding in the areas of acting, dancing, singing, theatre history and criticism, technical theatre and acting for film and television. This is an intensive program, consisting of over 35 hours of studio time per week with opportunities to perform in productions throughout five of the six terms. Faculty drawn from the professional theatre industry that are recognized for their experience and skills are instructors in the Musical Theatre program. Students will refine performance skills in acting, singing, dancing, and acting for film and tv, and will receive training in audition techniques and in how to conduct themselves professionally. This comprehensive training as well as the opportunity to work with working professionals will increase the chances of success once the graduates enter the industry.
