Capilano University attracts students from around the world. CapU enrols approximately 11,600 students each year, 8,300 in for-credit programs and 3,300 in non-credit courses.
The University is named after Chief Joe Capilano, an important leader of the Squamish (Sḵwx̱wú7mesh) Nation of the Coast Salish people. Our campuses are located on the traditional and ancestral territory of the Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh, Musqueam, Lil’wat and Sechelt (shíshálh) Nations.
At Capilano University, students are supported and challenged. We offer individual attention and personalized learning to enhance their experience. It is our goal to ensure that our students come first – not only at CapU, but in all of their pursuits.
CapU Main Campus
Capilano University's main campus is located in North Vancouver, BC.
CapU Squamish Campus
The new CapU Squamish campus is set to open in Fall 2024.

CapU has a regional campus in Sechelt that serves the communities of the Sunshine Coast.
CapU Lonsdale
CapU Lonsdale, located in the Shipyards, offers flexible day, evening and weekend programming for both small and larger groups of students.
Ts̓zil Learning Centre
Surrounded by majestic mountains and a stunning rural landscape, the Ts̓zil Learning Centre, owned and operated by Líl̓wat Nation, welcomes both Indigenous and non-Indigenous students to study in a beautiful new building in the unceded territory of the Líl̓wat Nation.
