Changes due to COVID-19 have increased reliance on digital tools at CapU, and the IT Services team is working to provide guidance, support and leadership.
CapU has increased access to Zoom for academic purposes on one-year trial basis in time for the fall semester.
Our learning management system, based on the open-source platform Moodle and branded as eLearn, will be used by nearly every student and faculty member at CapU this fall. Through a joint project between IT Services and the Centre for Teaching Excellence, eLearn is receiving a refresh and upgrade to improve intuitiveness and ease-of-use.
Virtual Computer Labs
Using Apps anywhere, students will be able to securely access a variety of software while off-campus. Due to technical and licensing constraints, not all software can be virtualized, but IT Services is working with the faculties to prioritize requests for what is possible.
