Elected Member - Board of Governors

Aurelea Mahood joined Capilano University and its English Department in 2005. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Mahood has extensive experience with program and curriculum development. In particular, she played a lead role in developing the Faculty of Arts and Science’s Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies. She has coordinated the Liberal Studies BA since its inception in fall 2011 and currently chairs the Liberal Studies Steering Committee.

She has also participated in a number University-wide committees and initiatives, including the Faculty Professional Development Committee, the Capilano University e-Portfolio Project and the inaugural General Education Committee. She looks forward to drawing on her experiences within and beyond the University in her role as a member of the Board of Governors.
