Please note, you will be pre-assigned to a ceremony based on your program of completion and cannot switch to a different ceremony time or date.

Note: Parking will be free campus wide but you will be required to enter from Lillooet Road onto Monashee Drive. Traffic attendants will be there to assist you.
Arrive a minimum of 45 minutes before the start of your ceremony - do not be late! If you are not dressed in your regalia and lined up in the appropriate order, we cannot guarantee that we can insert you into the line-up in order to cross the stage as placements are confirmed weeks in advance.
More ceremony information
We can guarantee seats for 4 guests per graduate; however, we cannot guarantee seats for additional guests. There is no need to print guest tickets. We encourage guests to arrive 30 minutes prior to the ceremony.
Each ceremony will last approximately 1.15 – 1.5 hours. Guests with mobility challenges can be dropped off behind the Centre for Sport and Wellness. Enter the back door from the parking lot or access via the ramp on the side of the building. There will be some accessible only parking nearest the Birch Building available on first come first serve basis.
After the ceremony there will a reception on the Birch Courtyard with live music and some refreshments. This is a great time to take pictures with your friends and family!
If you cannot attend your ceremony, your credentials will be mailed to you the week after the ceremony. You do not need to let us know that you will not be attending.
You will not be able to take part in the ceremonies without first registering for Convocation and ordering regalia through Gaspard. No one may cross the stage without regalia!
Please arrive a minimum of 45 minutes early. When you arrive at the Birch Building please follow these signs.

On the day of your ceremony, pick up your credentials, gown, and cap in the cafeteria - Birch Building. You will need your Cap Card as ID for pickup of your credentials and your printed confirmation from your gown order to pick up your gown.
Please pick up your gowns and regalia one hour before your ceremony.
Gowns and hoods / stoles should be returned to the drop off location in the cafeteria no more than 1 hour after your ceremony. Cap and tassels are yours to keep.
If you didn’t rent your gown online on Gaspard website, you will be charged $60 for the rental on the Convocation day.

Regalia ordering closes on May 15. We cannot guarantee enough availability on the day so we strongly advise pre-ordering before this date.
Photographers from Grad Images will be at your ceremony to take a photograph of you at your special moment of recognition. They will contact you directly with information about how to order your photographs.
