Sunshine Coast Programs & Courses

Community Access to Literacy & Learning (CALL) is a program that is funded through the Community Adult Literacy Programs (MAVED) and housed in the CDO (Community Development and Outreach) Department.

The program is free for learners and has been offered at the kálax-ay Sunshine Coast Campus for more than 20 years. Volunteer community tutors are matched with learners in need of some tutoring in English (conversational, reading, writing) primarily.

Learners meet weekly with their tutors for a minimum of 1.5 hours. The tutors are trained and supported by the program manager and a lending library is housed at the campus.
