Capilano University seeks mural artists on the Sunshine Coast
NORTH VANCOUVER B.C. – Capilano University is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. As one of its commemorative activities, the University has teamed up with the Vancouver Mural Festival to transform the main east-facing exterior wall of kálax-ay, the Sunshine Coast campus, into a full-colour painted mural. The mural will welcome students and the community to the Sunshine Coast campus and serve as a lasting legacy of the University's 50th anniversary.
Capilano University welcomes experienced mural artists interested in this commission to apply and submit links to a portfolio of their work. The successful artist will have mural experience, be a resident of the Sunshine Coast and available to paint between October 9 and 19, 2018. Applications are due by September 16, 2018 at 5 p.m.
