Capilano University was pleased to host federal Minister of Tourism Randy Boissonnault for a visit to our main campus on Friday, March 11.

Students in Tourism Management and Outdoor Recreation Management had the opportunity to present their tourism research projects, ask questions and share ideas.

Minister Boissonnault spoke with enthusiasm about the role tourism can play in Canada's post-pandemic economic recovery. He brought a message of great optimism that was inspiring for students, faculty and staff in attendance.

As the only university in the Vancouver area with a Tourism Management program, CapU appreciated the opportunity to introduce the Minister to the CapU programs that are helping to educate and equip students for the tourism and hospitality sectors.
