Capilano University and Langara College announce new memorandum of understanding

North Vancouver, B.C. February 3, 2023—Capilano University (CapU) and Langara College (Langara) are pleased to announce the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to enhance and guide collaborative activities, and increase opportunities for students and faculty.
Langara and CapU aim to create more opportunities for students to access programs across both institutions, increase access to research activity and funding in areas of mutual interest, cultivate life-enhancing learning opportunities for students, and build greater awareness of the opportunities for students within the two institutions in an inclusive manner.

“While Capilano University and Langara College have collaborated in the past, this agreement elevates the relationship with an aim to create more mutual benefits for students and faculty across both institutions,” said Laureen Styles, EdD, vice-president academic & provost at Capilano University.
"Working closely with Capilano University, as we have done for several years, provides exciting opportunities for students from both communities,” added Margaret Heldman, provost, Langara College. “We look forward to exploring and expanding on this collaboration in the years ahead.”
The MOU, signed today at CapU in North Vancouver, is a five-year agreement with the opportunity to extend the term into the future.
