North Vancouver, B.C. January 18, 2024 – Capilano University has added the Bachelor of Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) degree to its programs that will be offered at the new CapU Squamish campus beginning in September 2024.
The addition of the Early Childhood Care and Education degree will allow learners living in the Sea-to-Sky region to obtain their bachelor’s degree near their home community, and help support the region’s growing demand for early childhood educators.
“The university’s ECCE degree is a well-established, highly regarded program and we are so pleased to offer it in Squamish,” says Laureen Styles, vice president, academic & provost at Capilano University. “It will serve as an important extension of our existing program at the North Vancouver campus that is nationally and internationally recognized for fostering collaboration, innovation and best practices in early childhood education.”
CapU is one of only four universities in Canada to offer the Early Childhood Care and Education degree and the only one in Western Canada.
Applications are open now for the following programs offered at CapU Squamish in Fall 2024.
