NORTH VANCOUVER B.C. July 10, 2024 – Capilano University is pleased to announce Canada’s first GLC-1 digital piano lab through an educational partnership with Roland, a premier digital musical instrument company and a global leader in digital music equipment production and innovation.
The lab features 22 advanced digital pianos and GLC-1 lab conferencing system, providing a modern and industry-standard environment for musical education and performance for students in the music and jazz programs in the School of Performing Arts.
"This educational partnership with Roland and CapU’s investment in top-tier technology will significantly enhance our music and jazz programs, allowing our students to achieve new levels of creativity and excellence,” said Ramin Shadmehr, dean, Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts.
The new Roland GLC1 piano lab replaces the previous digital piano lab and is installed and ready for student use.
