Bio
Caitlin Matthews (BA, University of British Columbia Okanagan, 2012) completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in 2012 and her Paralegal Diploma in 2015.
Following completion of her Paralegal diploma, Matthews began her career in a boutique plaintiff personal injury firm. In 2018, she moved to a large national firm where she worked primarily on domestic and international arbitration files. During this time, Matthews also completed training in Legal Project Management. As of January 2024, she has been employed as an Investigations Case Manager and Paralegal at Forte Workplace Law.
In August 2023, Matthews joined the faculty of the School of Legal Studies part-time. She teaches in both the LAA and Paralegal programs.
As a paralegal in the legal field, I'm most passionate about conducting classes that equip students with practical skills to thrive in law firms or legal settings. As a former student and current instructor, I am a proponent of all programs offered by the School of Legal Studies, and I consider the practical nature of these programs to be invaluable.
My goal is to have students leave my classes feeling confident in their skills and empowered to walk into work and use what they have learned.
