Dawn Pemberton is the secret weapon of funk and soul groups all over Western Canada. Dawn has shared stages with the likes of Maceo Parker, Linda Tillery, The Sojourners, John Boutté and Dutch Robinson. Her gifts have been featured in the music of future-jazz group 1Luv (Sonar Kollektiv) and blues juggernaut The Harpoonist and The Axe Murderer.
CapU jazz ensemble Kenté has existed for more than ten years. The group focuses on the rhythmic aspects of jazz music and beyond, with instruments including drums and percussion, horns, bass, guitar and keyboards. From Taylor Swift to African grooves, Kenté makes you feel like dancin'.
