How would you describe yourself?
I’m passionate about my work as a cook. I love what I do and am highly ambitious and driven to succeed. I thrive on challenges and constantly set new goals for myself while always looking for opportunities to do better.
What CapU program are you enrolled in? And what year are you in?
I’m an international student from Punjab, India, studying in the first year of the Associate of Science degree program.
What's your favourite movie and book?
My favourite movie is DDLJ (Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge) and my favourite book is The Gift of Imperfection by Brené Brown.
What's your favourite food?
Sushi with red wine.
What's your biggest life lesson to date?
We should always walk on our own paths. Always try harder.
What's your biggest challenge?
My biggest life challenge was staying in France with my boyfriend for a month without knowing the language.
What's your favourite thing to do?
I’m very into fashion. I live for getting piercings and have nine of them.
What do you love about CapU?
The thing I love best about Capilano University is its cultural diversity. I now have friends from South Korea, China, India, the United States, Pakistan, France and Mexico. I’ve learned a lot from them.
What do you love about yourself?
There are many things I like about myself, but I like my sense of humour the most.
Who gets you?
My best friend, who is also my boyfriend. It is almost like we have an abbreviated language between us. We talk with our eyes. We can say single words that relate to a time and place because we have had hundreds of conversations about what that means.
