Orientation

New Student Orientation happens before the start of each term.

At Orientation, you have the opportunity to:

• Meet CapU staff and faculty who are here to teach, coach and guide you.
• Learn about academic and student support services available to you.
• Explore campus life, athletics, student clubs, social events and more.
• Attend workshops aimed to help you do well in class and adjust as a student.
• Make friends with other new and returning students.
• Have fun and make your first CapU memories!

Fall 2024 Orientation

Are you starting at CapU this Fall? Stay tuned for an email on your MyCapU account for upcoming orientation events such as:

Welcome Wednesdays

Join us the last two Wednesday’s in August at Welcome Wednesday’s right on campus. You will have the opportunity to take campus tours, pick up your Cap Card, learn about campus services, and start building your campus community.

Orientation Workshops

Want to learn strategies to help you successfully kick of your university journey? We will be offering a variety of both in-person and virtual workshops. These workshops will cover topics such as, Secrets for Academic Success, Budgeting 101, Getting to know your Student Union, and much much more!

CapU Street Party (CUSP)

Don’t miss out on the largest campus-wide celebration! Classes will be cancelled on September 3^rd to allow time for Program Orientations and CUSP. Join us for a free BBQ lunch at the Welcome BBQ! Listen to alumni bands and DJs, pick up your new student welcome bag, learn about the various services and opportunities available to you on campus and make new friends as you challenge them on the Inflatables!
