This course will examine a variety of themes, events and circumstances related to the history of genocide. Through case studies various aspects of genocide, including the motivation, planning, conduct and outcomes of these systemic mass murders will be investigated and analyzed. The continued influences of these past genocides to our modern world will also be explored.
Prerequisites: 45 credits of 100-level or higher coursework
