Description: Take a Nordic journey to Aarhus, Denmark’s hidden gem, and into the creative film studios of VIA University College, where Mick Morrill, a MOPA student, completed his full-term exchange in Fall 2023. Through still and moving images of his journey and film work he's created, Mick will share cultural nuances and his life in Denmark both inside and outside the classroom.
This webinar is open to all, regardless of the year of study you're in or the program you're in. Mick will share what it took to prepare for his journey so that you can consider embarking onto yours in one of almost 30 study abroad destinations.

Description: Grab some popcorn, sit back, and enjoy our hand-picked selection of moving images to inspire the traveller in you: a short film (premiere screening) and an international feature film.
UNESCO: Anthropological Tourism (Canada, 2023) 19:33min
The film explores how people live, play and work at two UNESCO-designated sites, one in Canada and one in Vietnam. It takes you across two vast and breath-taking sites of ecological importance: Howe Sound Biosphere, Canada's most recently UNESCO-designated biosphere reserve (2021) that joins a network of fjords situated immediately northwest of Vancouver, and Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and popular travel destination in Quảng Ninh province, Vietnam.
Produced and filmed by a group of CapU students from across programs (business, film, and tourism) who participated CapU's Vietnam Field School 2023, this film is being screened for first time ever, and its creators are proud and excited share their film with CapU students, instructors, employees, and our wider community!

This black comedy thriller follows a poor family who infiltrates the life of a wealthy family. Parasite is the first Korean film to win the Cannes Film Festival's top prize, the Palme d'Or.
