Add breadth to your CapU Bachelor’s degree and expand your knowledge of the science of human behavior with a Minor in Psychology.
Starting your 30-credit minor involves three mandatory courses at the 100- and 200-levels. Two are Introduction to Psychology classes and the other, a Research Methods course.
Your lower-level portion of the minor will be completed with two 200-level psychology courses, with options available in Lifespan Development, Cognitive Psychology, Social Psychology and more.
When you move into the upper-levels, taking 300- and 400-level classes to add 15 credits to complete your minor, you can diversify your areas of expertise with no mandatory courses.
Upper-level courses for the Minor in Psychology fall under seven different groups: Social/Cultural/Personality, Biological, Cognitive, Developmental, Mental Health and Well-Being, Applied Psychology and Psychology Electives. Choose any 5 of the courses in these groups to make up the latter half of your minor.
