The Executive in Residence (EIR) program provides access to an experienced business executive as a sounding board for challenges and opportunities in the business world, builds on the relationship between the Capilano University School of Business and local and global businesses and helps students transition into the business community.

The EIR will provide students in CapU's Faculty of Business & Professional Studies with valuable insight into opportunities and challenges and expose them to real-life experiences in various business fields.

A significant part of this role is engaging with students and contributing to their personal and professional development while sharing the benefits of their experience.

They will also liaise with faculty members to ensure our programs reflect relevant trends and issues so that students graduate ready to enter the business world.

Outside of CapU, they will work on building partnerships with local businesses, industries and other communities.

"The EIR at CapU's School of Business is unique because it provides students with advanced opportunities for direct interaction with a credible, experienced business leader who has navigated the kinds of uncertainty and volatility they will invariably confront in the world of work."
– Laura Kinderman, Dean, Faculty of Business & Professional Studies

Meet our sponsor

Quay Pacific Property Management is the founding sponsor of CapU’s Executive in Residence program. Chief Operations Officer Geoffrey Rosen has a long history of working with CapU when he was a student and now, as an alumni.

Having watched his father inspire students as an executive in residence at Edmonton’s then-Grant MacEwan College (now MacEwan University), Geoffrey is well-acquainted with the dynamic way that these programs boost students’ confidence by exposing them to real-world business experience.

That experience inspired him to sponsor a similar program at CapU.

Quay Pacific Property Management is a boutique firm offering strata management, rental management and real estate services.
