Bio
Adam Vincent is an award-winning researcher, poet, instructor, and the current Chair of the School of Communication.
In addition to teaching, facilitating, and leading across different areas of post-secondary education for 15 years, Vincent's research surrounding poetic inquiry (a research method that incorporates poetry into data gathering, data processing and/or data dissemination processes) has lead to the publication of diverse publications including book chapters, journal articles, a single-authored book (Poetic Inquiry: Unearthing the Rhizomatic Array Between Art and Research [2021]) and an edited collection (Poetic Inquiry Atlas Vol. 1: A Survey of Rigorous Poetics [2024]).
Having taught in the areas of educational support and development, university transitions, literacy assessments, writing and rhetoric, and Communications, I believe in meeting students where they are and giving them the tools and guidance necessary to meet their goals. In supporting students development of self-efficacy and the agency to take on necessary tasks, they can become e/affective not only in university but in all facets of their lives.
