Industry Day
This event facilitates conversations between students and industry representatives to learn about respective industries, each of the companies, and the different career paths available. It will also allow students to learn about the representative's current role and career path.
Career and hiring fairs
The Hiring Fairs occur annually in the spring or fall term. We welcome companies from different industries with current or upcoming employment opportunities to participate. Sign up for our e-newsletter to get the most updated information.
Industry panel / alumni panel
The panel is an excellent opportunity for industry representatives and alumni from different organizations to interact with students and share career and industry insights.
Informational interview referral program
The Informational Interview Referral Program is an informal 30 minutes to 1-hour conversation between a student and an experienced professional who works in a field of the student's interest.
Mentorship
The Mentorship Program is a talent and career development engagement opportunity that matches experienced and knowledgeable mentors with CapU students to allow mentees to identify the skills and expertise they need to succeed in their chosen professional field. The mentorship program includes a minimum commitment of 3 meetings per year (4 -12 month).
Job shadowing
The Job Shadowing Program offers participants unique opportunities to explore different career options and assess career fit. It also allows hosts to showcase their organization and give back to the community by helping students develop and clarify their career goals.
Spotlight
Organizational Spotlight (ongoing, weekly): Introduce students to an organization on our website and Facebook page.
Company tours
Company tours are an invaluable experience that allows students to visualize the possibilities and outcomes of pursuing a career path in a specific industry. The students gain exposure to working in a professional environment through a tour of various office environments, acquiring a feel for workplace cultures, practices
