Here's a look at our new on-campus building and room configurations we offer in CapU Residence.
Our building
CapU Residence is located at 2075 Tantalus Rd, North Vancouver and provides students with the option of living in a brand new on-campus building.
New on-campus residence
Our new 6-story building includes two wings and is home to our Student Housing Services front desk, dining hall and offices.
On each floor with students' rooms, there is a community kitchen, two common rooms, study space and a flex room
On the ground floor are located the dining hall, front desk, multipurpose room, reflection space, laundry room, indoor bike storage and our offices.
Our rooms
CapU Residence provides double-occupancy and single-occupancy rooms.
Most of the rooms in CapU Residence are double-occupancy. In these rooms, students share with another student they have selected through our roommate-matching portal. In some cases, roommates are assigned by the housing office.
Students living in double rooms will be assigned to a specific side of the room where the closet, bed and desk are for their exclusive use.
Students living in double rooms will be asked to complete Roommate Agreements at the start of the year with the assistance of their Residence Advisor.
We strongly recommend that all students living in double rooms contact their roommate before arrival to arrange any shared items (as needed).
Priority for single occupancy rooms is given to students with an identified need for special accommodation. Remaining single rooms are prioritized for students outside of their first year of study at CapU.
