Bio

Alan Jenks (DC, University of Western States, 2001) is an instructor at Capilano University, specializing in musculoskeletal health, biomechanics and exercise physiology.

Finishing a doctoral degree in low back pain in older adults visiting chiropractors, he is a dedicated academic passionate about advancing our understanding of musculoskeletal complaints through innovative research methodologies.

As a respected figure in academia, Jenks continuously contributes to the scholarly discourse. Their published work reflects a keen focus on the prevalence and management of low back pain in older adults, with a particular emphasis on the underrepresentation of this demographic.

Beyond the classroom and laboratory confines, Jenks engages in Socratic dialogue, fostering an environment that challenges conventional perspectives and encourages intellectual growth. Their commitment to excellence is evident in the rigour of their research and the clarity and precision with which they communicate complex ideas.

Jenks' contributions extend beyond the university, shaping the discourse on musculoskeletal health and promoting a holistic approach to education.

I am no mere lecturer but a virtuoso, conducting an intellectual symphony that resonates with humor and wisdom. My teaching interests form a vibrant tapestry, where the intricacies of human nutrition waltz with the gravity-defying stunts of advanced biomechanics.

Lab techniques in exercise physiology are not just lessons but thrilling expeditions, and health/sports ethics transforms into a philosophical adventure.

My teaching philosophy blends wit and wisdom, turning the classroom into an arena of engagement. It's not just about deciphering textbooks; it's an exhilarating journey through the labyrinth of critical thinking. Learning is not passive; it's a full-contact intellectual workout.

I am a scholar navigating the complex terrain of musculoskeletal health, seamlessly blending the realms of chiropractic caI don't just decipher the lines, I meticulously measure them.

Picture my research as an unfolding diagnostic tape, methodically probing the potential of muscle strength testing as a guiding light in chiropractic diagnostics.

In a world where every muscle fiber whispers a story, I assume the role of a master storyteller, unraveling the narrative that reshapes our understanding and approach to chiropractic care.

I shed light on the less-explored corridors of musculoskeletal health, demonstrating that within that intricate dance, lies the rhythmic innovation of diagnostics.
