This course presents a broad view of the role of Information Systems (IS) in Business. It places IS within the context of business activities and explores the five information systems components of hardware, software, data, processes/procedures and people. Students will apply the concepts and theories learned in their first-year School of Business courses to solve integrated business problems and will enhance their knowledge by acquiring business systems analysis and database development skills as they work through practical lab and final projects.
Prerequisites: 30 post-secondary credits
