Program Highlights

Gain the skills to work in professional theatre production and stagecraft in the Technical Theatre diploma program at Capilano University.

In the program, you'll learn about the history of performance and gain an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a professional theatre crew.

You'll receive a thorough grounding in the art of stagecraft by applying various skills and tools in lighting, sound, scenic construction, prop making, scenic painting and stage management to produce numerous productions.

As you progress, your training evolves into practice, providing hands-on technical and creative support to various live events in the BlueShore Centre for the Performing Arts on both professional and student productions.
