Marc Ribot’s Ceramic Dog
New York trio brings dissonant punk, improvisational jazz and avant-garde rock to CapU.
Marc Ribot is an exceptionally gifted and diverse guitarist and artist known for his musical exploration in jazz, punk, blues, funk, reggae, avant-garde and spoken word.
He is a key member of the trio Ceramic Dog, alongside Shahzad Ismaily and Ches Smith, all of whom showcase an 'anything-goes' sensibility, seamlessly transitioning between various styles while maintaining Ribot's distinctive sound.
Critics praise their convincing execution of different musical styles. Ribot's versatility has made him a sought-after collaborator for artists like Tom Waits, Elvis Costello and John Zorn.
