In this project management course, leading to a micro-credential, students will be introduced to Engineering Project management with a focus on original product design utilizing rapid prototyping technology and modern planning tools. Topics such as management of intellectual property, risk, schedules, and program development costs will be discussed. Case studies and sample problems will be used to elucidate these principles and conventions. Students will participate in the discussion and comparison of the strengths and weaknesses of management approaches.
Prerequisites: Pre-calculus 12 or BMTH 054 or MATH 105 or Calculus MPT
Notes:
- APSC 113 is an approved Science course. APSC 113 is an approved Quantitative/Analytical course for baccalaureate degrees.
- This course is not intended for students in the Engineering programs. Students who receive credit for APSC 130 or APSC 140 cannot receive credit for APSC 113.
