This is an intensive workshop in the writing of creative nonfiction, concentrating on contemporary nonfiction forms, such as magazine articles, memoir, personal narrative, literary journalism, lyric essay, etc., as well as professional aspects of writing, such as "the pitch," book proposals, and the editing process. Students will have the opportunity to explore important cultural and decolonial contexts for reading, developing, and distributing creative work.
Prerequisites: ENGL 190 or ENGL 191
