This advanced course is an introduction to a variety of fiction and non-fiction texts by francophone authors. It offers a review of French grammar aimed at developing writing skills through practice in composition, translation, and grammar exercises. Various media will enhance students' awareness of francophone culture. FREN 270 and 271 address different linguistic skills and can be taken in any order; however, after having taken both, students should be at the advanced level.
Prerequisites: FREN 170 and 171, or FREN 180 and 181, or FREN 204 and 205, or Francais Langue Seconde-Immersion 11
