This course examines political, social, cultural, and economic development of Canada from Canadian Confederation to the present day. Important themes include Indigenous peoples and the state; nationalism, federalism, and regionalism; prosperity and poverty; gender and race relations; immigration and multiculturalism; and, Canada on the global stage.
