This course is an introduction to fundamental principles of pathophysiology for selected geriatric conditions. At the end of this course, students will understand the social, physiological and emotional effects of common health conditions of adults and be aware of the therapeutic needs of clients and patients. Students will be able to communicate effectively with clients, family members and the health team using appropriate medical terminology.
